Awarded second contract with Ulstein Shipyard

We are happy to announce that Aukra Maritime has been awarded a second contract together with Ulstein Shipyard for the expedition cruise market. This contract follows up on a previous delivery for the polar vessel, National Geographic Endurance, from earlier this year.

This equipment will be deployed on a polar vessel in the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic fleet, joining National Geographic Explorer and National Geographic Orion, currently in operation, and National Geographic Endurance.

This agreement confirms our position as a recognized supplier of special handling equipment for harsh environments. As a part of the delivery, Aukra Maritime will supply roof mounted travelling cranes (RTC Cranes) for handling of Zodiac inflatable boats.
Our custom-made handling system can deploy and retrieve Zodiacs easily, giving passengers the unique possibilities of accessing local attractions in areas not accessible via larger vessels.
